The Student Massage Clinic run by the Australian Institute of Fitness has been developed to provide clinical practice for our students at cost effective prices. Opening times are dictated by our course and curriculum structure.

Please note that we are a contactless payment facility (ie NO CASH).

Our Student Clinic provides one of the following two types of massage / treatments:

1. RELAXATION $30 (55 minutes - includes consultation, physical assessment, treatment, and re-assessment)

A relaxation massage helps to de-stress and loosen up your body. The treatment consists of flowing strokes, kneading and gentle manipulations of the muscles. It is a pain free way to relax both your muscles and your mind. The deep tissue technique MAY be used if the therapist believes it necessary.
(Trigger Point Therapy - "releasing knots" - is NOT part of a Relaxation massage).


2. REMEDIAL $40 (55 minutes - includes consultation, physical assessment and testing, treatment and re-assessment)

A remedial treatment treats pain and / or dysfunction to a specific part of your body.

The Therapist will PERFORM TESTS and a POSTURAL ANALYSIS to assess what may be causing your pain or dysfunction and tailor a treatment plan to suit. The treatment itself may include, but not be limited to, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy.
Conditions such as sciatica, carpal tunnel, stiff necks, headaches, sports injuries and many more can be eased with a remedial treatment.
Please note, your Therapist may require you to remove any loose or restrictive clothing in order to assess posture and dysfunction. We recommend you wear sports shorts and a sports bra (for females) or similar.
Your first remedial session will involve extensive muscular TESTING as per the remedial massage program's learning criteria. All follow up appointments (if with the same Therapist) will involve far less testing once a suitable long term treatment plan has been outlined by the student.

Please remember this is a STUDENT CLINIC and our student therapists are continually being assessed.
